ESPO ICT was established in 1997 to meet the growing demand from our members for procurement assistance with their major one-off strategic purchases. At the same time there was an increased requirement for framework agreements to be put in place to enable large volumes of ICT goods and related services to be purchased through a route which ensured compliance with EC Supplies and Services Directives, members’ standing orders, and the protection of appropriate terms and conditions with suppliers.

ESPO ICT provides 3 main mechanisms to enable clients to meet all their ICT needs:

1. The ESPO Warehouse located at Grove Park, Leicester.
   
2. The award of a number of ICT framework arrangements for clients to call-off direct from suppliers.
   
3. A bespoke service tailored to our client’s needs in order to assist them with specific ICT projects.
   

The ICT Goods and Related Services, Contract 113, the Photocopier Contract 272D and the Software Contracts total in excess of £40 million. Over £1 million is spent on inkjet and toner cartridges through our central warehouse at Leicester.

This purchasing power enables us to secure the best possible prices combined with the appropriate contractual protection on behalf of our membership and clients.
